Science is complex. As scientists and the medical community alike delve deeper into answering the questions of the existence and our presence in the universe, they overlook  the underlying complex unity and beauty of science, humanity, and the natural surroundings.  The Common Vein illustrates this complex unity through artistic and poetic interpretation.  Its purpose is also to demonstrate that every aspect of human biology and science can be seen through a unique systematic lens.

The importance of perspective to gain an enriched understanding is a priority of the program.

Einstein was humbled by the awe of the harmony surrounding him. “Try and penetrate with our limited means the secrets of nature and you will find that, behind all the discernible laws and connections, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable. Veneration for this force beyond anything that we can comprehend is my religion. To that extent I am, in fact religious.” (Isaacson)

Observations

Observations that may provide foundations for the 1+1 = 1 concept in the world of biology

similarity of the structure of the atom and the solar system

similarity of the hydrogen atom and the earth

a pattern that all things are made from atoms – big bang and the formation of hydrogen atoms

a pattern that as building blocks add to other building blocks a new product evolves 1+1 =1 in biology
